Plain English. By using startupalternatives.com ("the site") you agree to the following.

1. The directory

The directory is editorially curated. Inclusion is at our discretion and is not paid placement. Listing or describing a tool here is not an endorsement. Pricing, founder details and feature claims are gathered from public sources; accuracy is best-effort, not guaranteed. Always check the source-of-truth on each tool's own website before relying on details.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe. You can delete your account any time by emailing hello@startupalternatives.com.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't post spam, hate, harassment, illegal content or NSFW material.
• Don't scrape the site for commercial republishing without permission.
• Don't try to break, attack or exploit the site or other users' accounts.
• When suggesting alternatives or submitting startups, be honest about the tool and your relationship to it.

We can remove any content and suspend any account at our discretion if these rules are broken.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of anything you post (comments, suggestions, submissions, uploaded images). By posting you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute it on the site.

5. Trademarks & copyrights

Tool names, logos and favicons remain the property of their respective owners. We display them under fair-use / nominative-use for the purpose of editorial comparison. If you're a rights holder and want a listing changed or removed, email us and we'll act fast.

6. No warranty

The site is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it's error-free, always available, or fit for your particular purpose.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use means you accept the changes.
